Em 1ª aos Coríntios 15.20 o apóstolo Paulo
fala de Cristo como a garantia da nossa ressurreição, no futuro, na sua segunda
vinda. Em Mateus 27.52, os santos ressuscitados, depois de Jesus, constituem um
sinal da vida eterna e confirmação de que Deus, ao aceitar aqueles
"santos" das mãos de seu Filho, estava aceitando todos os restantes.
Este fato concorda com a oferta que o sacerdote fazia a Deus, por ocasião da festa
das colheitas: "Então trareis um molho das primícias da vossa messe ao
sacerdote: este moverá o molho perante o Senhor, para que sejais
aceitos", Lv 23.10,11. Jesus como nosso Sumo Sacerdote ofereceu, após a
sua ressurreição, um "molho", que foi aceito pelo Pai, prova de que
também nós fomos aceitos.

RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD?
The Bible answers
"How can we reconcile 1st to Corinthians 15:20 with Matthew 27.52?"
"But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep". 1st to Corinthians 15:20
"And the graves were open; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised". Matthew 27:52
In 1st to Corinthians 15:20 the apostle Paul speaks of Christ as the guarantee of our resurrection in the future, in His second coming. In Matthew 27.52, the saints resurrected after Jesus, are a sign of eternal life, and confirmation that God, by accepting those "saints" from the hands of His Son, was accepting all the rest.
This fact agrees with the provision that the priest did to God, for the feast of harvest, "Then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest: he shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, that ye may be accepted," Leviticus 23:10, 11. Jesus as our High Priest offered, after His resurrection, a "sheaf" which was accepted by the Father, proof that we too have been accepted.
