Uma delas, sem nenhum embassamento bíblico, interpreta que as "filhas dos homens" eram a descendência de Adão e Eva e que os "filhos de Deus" eram os anjos que entraram em conúbio com a raça humana. Destarte, tomam como argumento provativo o versículo 6 do livro de Judas.
Entretanto, este versículo refere-se aos anjos que não guardaram sua própria habitação, isto é, que não ficaram fiéis à sua missão, ficando por isso reservados, para o dia do juízo. O versículo 7 é uma analogia ou explicação do versículo 6. Assim como os sodomitas tinham fornicado, desviando-se das normas naturais, semelhantemente, os anjos se tinham desviado da sua posição.
Realmente, os "filhos de Deus são os descendentes de Sete, ou seja, a linhagem piedosa e obediente a Deus, e as "filhas dos homens", representam as mulheres da descendência de Caim, isto é, a linhagem da desobediência e rebelião. Com isto está de acordo Gênesis 4.26: "Então começaram os homens a invocar o nome do Senhor", ou como seria melhor traduzido: "então começaram os homens a ser chamados pelo nome do Senhor".
