"Que significa a palavra Seol?"
A Bíblia responde:
A palavra Seol no AT eqüivale, em sentido, a Hades, no NT.

What does the word Sheol mean?
The Bible answers:The word Sheol in the OT is equivalent in effect, to Hades in the NT. They differ in the way because the first is Hebrew and the second is Greek. They
describe the place where everyone went after death: just and unjust,
having, however, this region of the dead one division to another for the
righteous and the unrighteous, separated by an unbridgeable gulf. All were there fully conscious. The place of the righteous was happiness, pleasure and safety.
It was called "Abraham's bosom" and "Paradise." However, the place of the wicked was ghastly, igniferous, full of pain, suffering. As Ephesians 4:8-10, it seems that Hades is located right in the depths of the earth. References
to the entrance of souls in this place are always "down" (see Jacob,
Gen. 37.35; Core: Num 16.30-33; Job, 17:16, etc.).
In all these passages the reference is to the grave, and show a place located deep within the earth. It
is regrettable the fact that numerous references to Sheol in the Old
Testament certain Portuguese versions translate as burial and other
related terms, bringing no little confusion to the reader.
The
words Sheol and Hades, appear, sometimes also translated as Hell, as in
Deuteronomy 32.22, 2 Samuel 22.6, Job 11.8, 26.6, Psalm 16:10, and many
other places in the OT and NT, in Matthew 16:18; Revelation 1:18. A student less informed or hurried can depart from there to misinterpretations. Hell
itself, that is, the eternal Hell as the final destination of the
wicked is called the Lake of Fire and Sulphur, mentioned in Revelation
20.10,14.
The
Hades Inferno is just a prison where the wicked remain between his
death and resurrection that will occur upon the judgment of the Great
White Throne, after the millennial reign of Christ, Rev. 20.7,11-15. Other times, the word Hades, as stated above, is translated as grave, as in Genesis 37.35, 42.38, 44.31, Job 21:13, etc..Care must be taken to avoid erroneous teaching due to imperfections in the translation.
It
is necessary to resort to works of renowned for consultation and
reference, such as Strong's Concordance and bilingual lexicons from the
original languages, even for those versed in those languages. To cite just one more example of this problem, this same word is also translated as Hades death in 1 Corinthians 15.55b.
These different translations of the same word have brought much confusion among the less informed. Therefore,
before the coming of Jesus in this world, all descended to the grave
just and unjust, with an unbridgeable separation between the two
divisions of this place.
O QUE SIGNIFICA BLASFEMAR CONTRA O ESPÍRITO SANTO?
A Bíblia responde:

WHAT DOES BLASPHEMING AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT MEAN?
The Bible answers:
What does blaspheming against the Holy Spirit mean?
The blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is a unique sin and only covers those who have experienced the power of the Spirit in their lives and then for some reason rejected with scorn and hardening. This act is not about blasphemy against God's Word, or any minister of the church, because there is forgiveness for all this, but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is a sin different from the others because, for him, there is no forgiveness.
The Pharisees made it, when, with the aim of keeping the people from following Jesus, they said that He had cast cast out devils by the spirit of Beelzebub: l2.24 Mt. Sin against the Holy Spirit is to reject the clearest evidence that the works of Jesus were made by the power of miracles and claim that they belong to the devil. This signal is completely hardened to the point that there is no hope of repentance and conversion, the sinner becomes incapable of knowing or distinguishing the divine from diabolical.
He that commits sin of this nature suffers an immediate withdrawal of the Holy Spirit in his life, which leads to spiritual total death. It should be noted that sometimes people come up crying, because they think that weighs on them this sin, and believe that they can never be forgiven.
But just the fact that they are repentant, desirous of salvation or forgiveness, proves that they did not blaspheme the Holy Spirit because the Spirit himself is calling for repentance.

OS DISCOS VOADORES EXISTEM?
A Bíblia responde:

Are there the flying saucers?
The Bible answers:
The subject is current, although it is unlikely and untested its existence. The term "flying saucer" was coined 31 years ago by the press in reporting the vision of nine disc-shaped objects flying over Kenneth Arnold Mount on June 24, 1947. Later it was created a more elastic term - unidentified flying objects or UFOs.
Since then several people began to see these objects, always in a mysterious way, never in places open to the general public. At present, from all the parts of the world, came numerous reports of the existence of unidentified flying objects. But 90 percent of these daily reports are useless for lack of consistency. On this subject it is necessary to consider other facts of importance.
1. The simple mistakes. The report for 1969 (8.400 pages) of the U.S. Air Force, which analyzed 12,618 UFO sightings, said that 95 percent of reports are due to "simple mistakes of identification of an incredible variety of phenomena." The flying objects were such confused with meteors, lightning-shaped ball, reflections of searchlights in the clouds, weather balloons, rockets and even insects that have phosphorescent organs located at the bottom of the abdominal segments (the fireflies, or the flies of fire).
2. Mystifications. To make money and notoriety, or to distract attention from the mass, thousands of people are ready to abuse the credulity of others, with elaborate exaggerations or lies. Religious, political, vendors and even scientists are always ready to explore this mine which is the human credulity.
3. Hallucinations. The crazy guy, that is, temporarily deprived of reason, cannot be lying when he says without a doubt have seen unidentified flying objects and his crew, but this does not necessarily mean that the vision is real. According to the psychiatrist Jean Rosenbaum, this is the case of the logger Travis Walton, that in 1975 he has been brought into the interior of a UFO, in Arizona, and seen "beings like fetuses developed,
1.50 m in height more or less with oval bald heads and huge brown eyes. " Walton was a fan of flying saucers and, shortly before the incident, told the mother that, if he ever happened to be kidnapped by such a device, it not for her to worry because everything would end well. Hallucinations can be caused by mental illness and by other means, including the ingestion of hallucinogenic drugs.
4. Projections. The Swiss psychologist Jung Kal, who died in 1961, believed that UFOs were products of intelligence and imagination of man, "projections of the collective sub-conscious, brought to the fore in times of" stress "or something." What has always been the history of comics and science fiction has become in the minds of the people, strange reality.
With respect to photographs of UFOs, an article of the Reader's Digest reports that it "has been identified as a toy plastic discs tossed into the air, photomontages, objects hanging on wire, dirt on the camera lens and patches of revelation." Everyone knows the current possibilities of photographic art, especially in the photomontage.
Finally, we conclude: in every 100 cases of 95 UFO sightings are merely identification mistakes of an incredible variety of phenomena, would it be reasonable to believe in the existence of such objects?

QUAL O SIGNIFICADO DA EXPRESSÃO "ALELUIA?"
A Bíblia responde:
118,135,136,146 a 150.
as reuniões.
ALELUIA
"What is the meaning of 'Hallelujah'?"
"What is the meaning of 'Hallelujah'?"
The Bible answers:
With the spelling "Allelujah," from the Aramaic origin and meaning praise the Lord, this word came to the Christian church through the Septuagint. The original Hebrew word "hallelu-yahweh" praise you. "Yah," short for "yahweh" occurs twenty-four times in the Psalms and is a variant of terms with the same meaning they do not seem to belong to the same text, but incursions of others during the reading, by the outpouring of spiritual joy of the listener, much as today we hear in our meetings.
Therefore, occur both in the early and in the middle or in the end of
psalms, implying that the translator recorded the fact in the transition if
they hear that word during the reading. It
can also be a summons - still oblivious to the listeners so that they can glorify
God while doing the reading, both in the temple, as in the synagogues, or in
the Christian church. This
expression of spiritual fervor and gratitude are the Psalms
104,105,106,111,112,113,114,115,116,117, 118,135,136,146 and 150.
The suggestion of the Psalms with the expression Hallelujah is where they were sung on special occasions of worship in the synagogues. "The
Psalms 113-118 were sung on the feast of Easter, Pentecost, Tabernacles
and the Dedication, and in the first, Psalms 113 and 114 were sung
before meals, while 115 to 118, after the third cup .
(Check Mark 14:26.) Psalms 135 and 136 were sung on Sabath and the
Great Hallel (Ps. 146-150), together with the Psalm 145, were sung in the
morning services "- HLE, Douglas.
In
our churches, although most of the brothers do not know the etymology of
the words, are moved by the Holy Ghost as He cries aloud, reinforcing a
feeling that quickens spiritual revivalist meetings. The
churches where the worship of God is cultivated remain active, while in the temples where they fight the people's enthusiasm, there is a lack of
spiritual life. So, praise the Lord - Hallelujah!
interior, comecei a protestar e murmurar. Um capítulo inteiro, na frente
de todos? Memorização nunca fora meu forte; encolhi-me ao imaginar
longos silêncios enquanto todos me olhavam, esperando pelas próximas
palavras.

Walk Away From Worry
A few years ago, our Bible-study leader challenged us to memorize a
chapter of the Bible and recite it to the group. Internally, I began to
protest and groan. An entire chapter, in front of everyone?
Memorization had never been my thing; I cringed as I imagined long
silences while everyone watched me, waiting for the next words.
A few days later, I reluctantly leafed through my Bible, looking for a set of verses to learn by heart. Nothing seemed right until I landed in Philippians 4.
I read this verse in silence, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God” (v.6). That’s when I knew which chapter to memorize, and how to walk away from my anxiety about the assignment.
God does not want us to agonize over future events, because worry paralyzes our prayer life. The apostle Paul reminds us that instead of fretting, we should ask God for help. When we continually take this approach to anxiety, God’s peace will guard our hearts and minds (v.7).
Someone once said tongue-in-cheek, “Why pray when you can worry?” The point is clear: Worry gets us nowhere, but prayer gets us in touch with the One who can handle all of our concerns.

Walk Away From Worry
It’s impossible to wring our hands
when they are folded before God in prayer.
ONDE É A MORADA DE SATANÁS?
A Bíblia responde:

WHERE IS THE ADDRESS OF SATAN?
The Bible answers:
"Many assert that the palace of the Devil is in Hell, but in Ephesians 6:12 indicates that it is in the air. Explain, please!"
Firstly it should be clear that the text speaks of a palace nor hell, but terminating a psychological positioning. Metaphorically, the armor is the body when the spirit should really take, since "we have to fight not against flesh and blood", that is not going to expend physical effort, but metaphyicial against principalities, giving the idea of a battalion , a group of authorities, against powers, allowing for personalities endowed with great power, and against the rulers, slightly cooling this coercive authority, making these characters less aggressive, but more suggestive, amoral and persuasive and, finally, against spiritual wickedness, phalanges designed to instill the spirit of evil in the individual.
These attacks may be in the heavenly places, that is, in our heavenly environment. At our disposal for the things of God. These attacks are not the body against body, but the spirit against the spirit of trying to give us the ideal we have set ourselves. This struggle demands all prayer and supplication at all times, because the battle is continuous and unceasing and are always subject to the fiery darts. This means, usually, the word hell as "Sheol" (Sheol), Hades and Gehenna. The first place of inquiry could mean giving the idea of someone in a certain place awaiting interrogation. You can also have a deep meaning, rather than dead, grave, where it is impossible to exit, abyss.
The corresponding Greek word is "hades" or "haides" with the same impression of impregnable, through whose doors one can not pass out. Once placed there, the soul cannot get rid of. Jesus, however, is in possession of the keys of death and Hades (Rev. 1:18), the latter also represented by the Hebrew term "Gêhinnon" which means a valley of Hinnom property or his children, situated, according to historians, but without much claim, two miles from Jerusalem, near the Kidron brook. In this valley was the "sanctuary" of Molech, where children were offered in sacrifice, throwing them to a bonfire lit permanently.
King Josiah destroyed the "sanctuary" (1 Kings 11:7; 16.03, 23.10) and the site continued to be used for the cremation of dead animals and criminals, but also all kinds of junk. The Hebrew word passed to the Greek as Gehenna, symbolizing hell as a place where the fire never goes out: Is 66.24, Mark 9:43-48. Jewish tradition says that the valley of Hinnom was the door of Hell, trying to allude that the door was so terrible, what would be its interior. Its location is much discussed, as is discussed in the exact location of Hell, but we must be sure that if there was Geena, so it is clear that Hell exists as well. Except that its doors will not prevail against the Church of God.

SAUL PERANTE SAMUEL
A Bíblia responde:
"Acaso há contradição entre 1 Samuel
15.35 e 1 Samuel 19.24?
Samuel".

SAUL BEFORE SAMUEL
The Bible answers:
"Isnt' there any contradiction between 1 Samuel 15:35 and 1 Samuel 19:24?
In the first passage states that "Samuel never saw Saul again until the day of his death, 'and, second, that Saul prophesied before Samuel."
Note, in the second text, that is Saul who is before Samuel and not this before that. Samuel who had left Saul eight years before, presided over the assemblies of prophets, or prophets' house, kind of school or seminar where they wrote down and stored remarkable facts of the people's religious and national life, besides serving as a meeting of education and praise and worship to God.
The context reveals that, David fled from Saul, like Samuel in Ramah, from where both have gone to the house of the prophets. Saul, after sending messengers to seek David and know that they, forgetful of their mission, were prophesying involved by the Spirit of God, he went to the assembly of the prophets and "prophesied before Samuel."
