SEM SONO NO CÉU

"…não dormitará aquele que te guarda". —Salmo 121:3

Um dos aspectos mais perigosos da aviação é a aterrissagem. Quanto mais próxima a aeronave está para pousar, mais congestionado é o tráfego aéreo, o clima em solo pode ser muito pior do que a nove mil metros, e as pistas de pouso podem estar congestionadas. Deste modo, os pilotos confiam nos controladores de voo para coordenarem todos os detalhes, para que todos os aviões possam aterrissar sem qualquer incidente. Sem o controlador de voo, o caos seria certo.

Imagine, então, o pânico quando o piloto de um avião comercial cheio de passageiros contatou a torre e não recebeu resposta. Finalmente, foi descoberto que o controlador de voo estava a postos, mas dormindo, colocando o piloto, os passageiros e o avião em grande perigo. A notícia boa é que o avião pousou em segurança.

Notícia ainda melhor é o fato de que Deus, o principal controlador de voo, nunca dorme ou dormita. Do Seu ponto de vista celestial, Ele sabe tudo o que está acontecendo em sua vida e ao seu redor. Como o salmista destacou: “O meu socorro vem do Senhor, que fez o céu e a terra. Ele não permitirá que os teus pés vacilem; não dormitará aquele que te guarda” (121:2-3).

Você pode contar com isso — Deus conhece os perigos iminentes e incansavelmente direcionará o tráfego de sua vida pensando no seu bem e para a Sua glória (Romanos 8:28).

 

Quando o problema persegue o caminho que trilhamos,
Precisamos de garantia, Senhor, para saber
Que todos os nossos passos são guiados
Que Tu, nosso Deus, estás no controle.

Podemos estar em paz porque Deus nunca dorme.

Sleepless In Heaven

One of the most dangerous aspects of flying is the landing. As the aircraft gets closer to land, the air traffic is more congested, the weather on the ground may be far worse than the weather at 30,000 feet, and the runways may not be clear of other planes. So pilots rely on the air-traffic controller to coordinate all the details so that every plane can arrive without incident. Without the air-traffic controller, chaos would be certain.

Imagine, then, the panic when the pilot of an airliner full of passengers radioed the tower and got no answer. It was eventually discovered that the air-traffic controller was in fact there but sound asleep, putting pilot, passengers, and plane in great jeopardy. The good news is that the plane landed safely.

Even better news is that God, the ultimate traffic controller, neither slumbers nor sleeps. From His heavenly vantage point, He knows all that is going on in and around your life. As the psalmist notes, “My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber” (121:2-3).

You can count on it—God knows the impending dangers and will tirelessly direct the traffic of your life for your good and His glory (Rom. 8:28).

Because God never sleeps, we can be at peace.
