Quando você acredita em Jesus, você tem a força de Deus para a vida diária. Eu costumava pensar que isso não era uma grande coisa. Mas eu percebi que, para a maioria das pessoas o problema número um na vida não é preocupação ou medo ou culpa ou amargura. O seu problema número um é o cansaço. Eu falo com as pessoas o tempo todo e elas dizem: "Eu estou tão cansada o tempo todo. Eu não posso fazer tudo. Eu estou enjoada e cansada de estar doente e cansada."
A razão pela qual as pessoas estão cansadas o tempo todo é porque elas têm escassez de energia. E a razão pela qual elas têm-na é porque não estão ligadas ao poder de Deus. Elas estão tentando viver suas vidas às suas próprias forças, sozinha. Não há nenhuma maneira pela qual elas possam cumprir o seu propósito na vida sem estar ligadas ao poder de Deus. Uma torradeira desligada é inútil. Um aspirador de pó não tem nenhum propósito se ele não estiver ligado à fonte de energia.
Isaías 40:29 diz: "Ele fortalece ao cansado e dá grande vigor ao que está sem forças". Você precisa do poder de Deus em diversas maneiras do que você imagina. Paulo diz assim: "Tudo posso naquele que me fortalece". Filipenses 4:13. Esta não é uma atitude mental positiva. Isto não é auto-ajuda psicológica. Isto não é um pensamento de puxar você para cima por meio das tiras de suas bonitas. Não. Isto é poder sobrenatural.
Quais são "todas as condições"? O poder de lidar com a solidão quando você está sozinho. O poder de lidar com o estresse quando você está sob pressão. O poder de lidar com a culpa, o medo, o tédio, a amargura e a rejeição. O poder de lidar com um desastre financeiro. O poder para lidar com crises de saúde. O poder de lidar com uma situação relacional.
De onde vem esse poder? Ele vem de Deus - quando você acredita em Jesus Cristo. (rwm)

How to Get God’s Power in Your Life
“God gives power to those who are tired and worn out, and he offers strength to the weak.” Isaiah 40:29
When you believe in Jesus, you get God’s strength for daily living.
I used to think this wasn’t a big deal. But I’ve realized that for most people the number one problem in life isn’t worry or fear or guilt or bitterness. Their number one problem is weariness. I talk to people all the time who say, “I’m just so tired all the time. I can’t get it all done. I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired.”
I used to think this wasn’t a big deal. But I’ve realized that for most people the number one problem in life isn’t worry or fear or guilt or bitterness. Their number one problem is weariness. I talk to people all the time who say, “I’m just so tired all the time. I can’t get it all done. I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired.”
The reason why you’re tired all the time is you have a power shortage. And the reason you have a power shortage is because you’re not plugged in to God’s power. You’re trying to live your life on your power alone. There’s no way you can fulfill your purpose in life without being plugged in to God’s power. A toaster unplugged is worthless. A blender unplugged is worthless. A vacuum cleaner has no purpose if it’s not plugged in to the power source.
Isaiah 40:29 says, “God gives power to those who are tired and worn out, and he offers strength to the weak”. You need God’s power in more ways than you realize. Paul says it like this: “I have the strength to face all conditions by the power that Christ gives me” Philippians 4:13. This is not positive mental attitude. This is not self-help psychology. This is not pull-yourself-up-by-your-own-bootstraps thinking. No. This is supernatural power.
What are the “all conditions”? The power to handle loneliness when you’re lonely. The power to handle stress when you’re under pressure. The power to handle guilt and fear and boredom and bitterness and rejection. The power to handle financial disaster. The power to handle health crises. The power to handle a relational predicament.
Where does that power come from? It comes from God — when you believe in Jesus Christ. (wrm)
